#DifferenceMakers: Faye Rosatti

Faye Rosatti, Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager, Standard Bank, PaSB

Beyond community banking, tell us what you are involved with in your community.

Faye: I currently serve on the board of directors for the YWCA of Westmoreland County, Workforce Investment Board/Westmoreland Fayette Counties, and the Local Operating Board for United Way of Southwestern PA. I also serve as the President of the Board of Directors for the Greensburg Community Development Corporation. In addition, I am an active member of the United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council serving on the Executive Committee, member of the Marketing Committee for the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce. Our family has a Relay for Life Team, which has participated for over 15 years.

Can you share with us the reason you are so passionate about the organization(s) with which you are involved?

Faye: Each of the organizations have their mission and are unique to the services and programs they provide. However, as a self-proclaimed connector, I feel my role is to help the organizations collaborate to improve the quality of life in our community. The camaraderie between the members of these boards help to make the hard work all that more rewarding.

What prompted you to be a #DifferenceMaker in your community?

Faye: What started out as volunteering for the organizations my kids were involved in morphed into, “How can I do more?”, “Where can I make the most impact?” and of course, “Who will help me?” Westmoreland County is a very philanthropic community and we are blessed to have the organizations and people willing to work hard every day to make a difference.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your involvement with your community?

Faye: As the mother of two adult children, that not only have grown into successful adults, they are also improving life in the community through Rotary, as active board members and sharing their talents coaching children. Even our grandchildren give back by volunteering for a local fire department, walk at Relay for Life, and in a couple of weeks we are cooking and serving dinner for an organization, Feeding the Spirit, which benefits those in Greensburg that may need nourishment, friendship and fellowship. These people, I call my family, make me so proud of the work we are doing.

You obviously have a strong desire to give back to your community, does your volunteer work ever mix with your professional life?

Faye: Throughout my extensive career in banking, I have provided trusted advice and service to many businesses, helping them create financial plans that ensure their success. Standard Bank is the ultimate community bank with their initiatives to help grow the local economy and promote community growth. They encourage and support all their employees’ efforts and, through their foundation, grants are provided to many organizations that are working hard to improve the community through their programs and services.

You are obviously very busy, what is your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day?

Faye: I have a fabulous circle of friends, colleagues and family. I love spending time with my friends and colleagues over lunch, dinner, and a glass of wine! But the highlight of my life is spending time with my husband Mark, my kids Nick and Jessica, Nick’s wife Lindsay, Jessica’s husband Miles and watching my grandchildren Hunter and Brylee grow up. Whether it’s time at the cabin fly fishing and quad riding or at the beach soaking in the sun, spending time with those you love is the best!
